Serian’s Serengeti Lamai
Serian’s Serengeti Lamai – Where Stillness Meets the Spectacle
Tucked into the gentle folds of the Kogakuria Kopje, just a whisper from the Mara River, Serian’s Serengeti Lamai is a front-row seat to one of nature’s most timeless dramas. From the shaded elegance of your private tent to the rustle of wildebeest hooves across the plains, this is the Serengeti at its most intimate—and its most alive.
Here, you don’t chase the wild—you dwell within it.
A Camp with a Soul as Deep as the Savannah
Designed by Alex Walker with reverence for space and silence, Lamai is more than a camp—it’s a sanctuary for seekers of solitude, spectacle, and connection.
Traditional canvas tents with polished wood accents and deep verandas overlooking the plains
King-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, with indoor comfort and outdoor elegance
Open-air showers that blur the line between privacy and wilderness
Personal attention that’s intuitive, never intrusive
Each detail is chosen not for excess, but for meaning—allowing nature to take center stage.
The Migration, Just Beyond Your Canvas
Perched strategically near the Mara River crossing, Lamai offers one of the best vantage points for the Great Wildebeest Migration:
Witness dramatic river crossings just minutes from camp
Encounter predators in motion—lions, leopards, cheetahs in pursuit
Marvel at the ever-moving herds in a choreography written by instinct and rain
Explore the northern Serengeti through game drives and walking safaris, led by some of Tanzania’s finest guides
Whether the herds are thundering past or the plains lie quiet and expectant, every day at Lamai brings a new chapter in the Serengeti’s unfolding story.
Wilderness, Without Walls
Serian’s philosophy is simple: give you space, and give nature the freedom to enter it.
Just a handful of tents to preserve privacy and presence
Exclusive-use safari vehicles—no schedules, no shared experiences
Flycamping and walking safaris for those drawn to the raw pulse of the bush
This is safari unfiltered, where you leave behind the noise of modern life and return to a rhythm that’s older than time.
Dining by Firelight, Storytelling by Starlight
Meals at Lamai are slow, soulful, and shared—not just food, but connection:
Dishes crafted with fresh, local ingredients and global inspiration
Candlelit dinners under the stars, with the sounds of the savannah as your soundtrack
Morning coffee with sunrise views and evening drinks with horizon-wide sunsets
Every meal is a pause to savor not just flavors, but the day’s wonders.
People Who Feel Like Kin, Not Staff
At Lamai, you’re hosted—not serviced. You’re guided—not managed. And always, you’re seen:
Guides and trackers whose bush wisdom is matched only by their warmth
Hosts who welcome you like family and know your preferences by heart
A team united by a deep love for place, people, and purpose
It’s hospitality that feels more like homecoming.

Serengeti, as It Was Meant to Be Felt
At Serian’s Serengeti Lamai, you don’t just watch the wild—you dwell in its silence, walk its red earth, and let it stir something forgotten. It’s not just about what you see—it’s about what you feel long after the dust has settled.
Remote. Rooted. Remarkably Serian.
Welcome to Lamai—your private window into the wild.
Serian’s Serengeti Lamai – Where Wilderness Welcomes You In
Cradled within the granite outcrops of the Kogakuria kopjes and gazing down toward the Mara River, Serian’s Serengeti Lamai is a hidden vantage point—both literally and spiritually. Positioned in the far reaches of Northern Serengeti, this intimate camp stands in quiet contrast to the drama of the Great Migration unfolding below.
Here, it’s not about conquering the wilderness. It’s about coexisting with it—silently, soulfully, side by side.
A Camp Rooted in Place, Elevated by Simplicity
Lamai is built not to impress the world, but to disappear into it. Its beauty lies in how it frames the land around it:
Canvas tents blending seamlessly with the rocks, trees, and views they inhabit
Interiors designed with intention—Tanzanian textures, artisanal details, space to breathe
Outdoor bush showers and freestanding tubs that let the breeze in and the wild stay close
Wooden decks made for long stares into the savannah, coffee in hand or stars overhead
Just a few tents, for just a few guests—exclusivity by way of intimacy, not opulence
This is luxury that whispers. Peace that doesn’t need permission.
The Great Migration, and the Moments In Between
Serian’s Lamai sits near the Mara River crossings, offering a front-row seat to one of nature’s most dramatic events. But the magic of Lamai lies not only in the thunder of hooves—it lives in the spaces between:
Predators on the prowl and prey on the move, painted in golden afternoon light
Solitary leopards draped over branches, and herds of elephants grazing in silence
Exclusive-use safari vehicles, allowing you to write your own narrative each day
Walking safaris with guides who move not just with knowledge—but reverence
An untouched Serengeti that still feels ancient, sacred, unhurried
Every game drive is a conversation. Every sighting, a shared secret with the land.
Flavors That Ground You
Meals at Lamai are not about extravagance—they’re about authenticity. About making you feel both here and home:
Farm-fresh produce, inspired by local seasons and global creativity
Bush breakfasts, starlit dinners, and fireside storytelling that lingers longer than the dessert
Menus tailored to all preferences, always prepared with care and heart
Dining that embraces simplicity, connection, and place—with the Serengeti as your backdrop
This is food that fuels both body and memory.
A Team That Lives the Land
More than a safari destination, Lamai is a camp lived in and loved by those who call it home:
Guides who track stories in the soil and translate silence into wonder
Camp hosts who make you feel instantly seen, instantly settled
A conservation-first ethos, where every experience respects the rhythm of the land
Staff who share not just service—but heritage, community, and belonging
At Lamai, you are not a guest—you are a temporary steward of something deeply timeless.

The Wild, Just As It Is. You, Just As You Are.
There’s a rhythm at Serian’s Lamai that can’t be described—only felt. It hums beneath the rocks, rides on the morning wind, and echoes in your chest as you sit with the sun and listen. Here, you don’t escape the world. You return to it—with your feet dusty, your senses sharpened, and your soul just a little more open.
Timeless. Textured. Truly Serian.
Welcome to Lamai—where the Serengeti doesn’t shout. It speaks
Serian’s Serengeti Lamai – Where the Edges of Wilderness Feel Like Home

Here, elevation brings clarity. Stillness becomes a teacher. And every sunrise unveils a new chapter of an ancient story.

Enjoy exclusive-use vehicles—giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace, on your own terms
Whether in full migration mode or the quiet season of reflection, Lamai pulses with life—and stillness.
Flavors of the Land, Shared with Heart

What sets Lamai apart isn’t only its setting—it’s the soul that animates it:
Guides who don’t just find wildlife, but help you understand it
Hosts who treat you not like a guest, but a returning friend
Trackers who reveal a world most never notice—from insect trails to birdsong stories
A team united by purpose: conservation, community, and connection to the land
This is hospitality with humility—attentive, generous, and never performative.

Verified
ATownExplorer2026-03-12Happy is the BEST safari organizer - great experience. First let me start by typing that Happy, the young lady who organizes everything, is great to work with. She pays attention to detail and makes sure everything is in order. I contacted a number of safari companies, looking for the best deal I and mentioned I'd be celebrating my birthday. Happy was the only one to respond with a thoughtful message. Small details go a long way. As we negotiated the pricing, she even offered me a cake. That was really sweet of her. Emmanuel picked us up from the Arusha airport ON TIME and took us to our hotel. Happy arrived within minutes to give a briefing, take payment and give me the cake she promised :-). The following morning, Adrian picked us up in the safari jeep and after picking up a few more passengers we were on our way. The whole experience from beginning to end was great. Our cook, Richard, prepared some really delicious meals. Him and Adrian always made sure we were okay. I'd definitely recommend you use Kilipath. We'll be back with a group of friends! Asante sanaVerified
Verified
andrzej s2026-03-01Bardzo niesamowite doświadczenie Polecam Super safari zgodnie z otrzymanym opisem 5 dni w wersji budżetowej czyli 2 noclegi w namiotach w parku Serengeti a 2 w super pokojach. Bardzo miły i sympatyczny przewodnik Mathiu.warunki noclegowe i wyzywienie bez zarzutu. Widzieliśmy wszelkie możliwe zwierzęta ,dodatkowo ostatni dzień mielimy do dyspozycji odkryty samochód, super wrażenie. Ps. Polecam uaktualnić dane adresowe biura . PozdrawiamVerified
Junyi Z2026-02-22Great services The communications are wonderful, Lydia answered all my questions with rapid reply (even through email). The transfer guy also provide excellent service. I asked him to bring me to Masai market after Safari ends, and he did with no hesitation. Even more, he gave the companion with me in the market as I am a solo female traveller. Safati trip it self worth the price. Regardless that I booked for a group trip instead of private one, the pickup time was comaratively long. It usually took 2-3 hours before the safari actually start, and usually the game drive began around 9am, so if you are looking for hunting scenes, private trip may fit you better.Verified
Assad!Verified
Damien B2026-02-02Very good safari road trip Great value for money. The organization by Kilipath was perfect: they were available, responsive, and everything ran on schedule. The team is extremely motivated. The jeep was spacious and comfortable, with power outlets to charge phones (although they didn’t always work). Our guide, David, was an excellent driver and did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied. He was very friendly and always in a great mood. The choice of lodges was excellent: spacious and luxurious. Lunches were very well organized, especially when eaten out in the middle of nature. However, we do not recommend the tent camp if you are looking for a minimum level of comfort (toilets, electricity). It also lacked atmosphere, even though there were many guests. Some light entertainment or welcome activity from our arrival around 4 p.m. until the evening would have been appreciated. Small bonus (or a big one in our opinion!): Kilipath gifted us a wonderful T-shirt!Verified
Joaquín B2026-01-24Great experience The 4-day safari was excellent, the guides were superb and respectful of nature. The accommodations were excellent. Prisca de Kilipath always made sure we had the best experience.Verified
Radim Slezák2026-01-20A great experience for the whole family. We booked a three-day stay with Kilipath African Safari. Lydia was very helpful and accommodating from start to finish in planning the trip and arranging all the arrangements. After arriving in Arusha, we visited Tarangire on the first day, and the next day we drove to the Ngorongoro Crater with the same driver, Mayunga. We were happy that we were able to observe wild animals such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, hippos, flamingos, buffaloes and others in their natural environment of beautiful nature. We were also lucky and saw the big five, although the rhino was very far away, at least that's what the driver told us. :) The driver was very communicative and was able to answer our questions about not only the animals, but also the lives of the local people, interesting facts from history and some information about tribal conflicts. On the third day, together with our guides Lydia and Geofrey, we visited the Materuni waterfall with a breathtaking view of Kilimanjaro. During the ride to the waterfall, we used the time to chat with our guides and learned a lot of interesting information about the life and customs of the people of Tanzania. After swimming in the waterfall, we visited a local village for lunch with a demonstration of coffee processing, including roasting and subsequent tasting. At our request, the guides took us to a shop with truly beautiful goods, where we bought local pictures in the Tinga tinga style. :) All services provided and arranged by Kilipath African Safari were at a professional level and we recommend this trip to the mainland.
