Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park>

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest park and a haven for a large population of elephants. The park is known for its iconic baobab trees, which tower over the animals that graze beneath them. Wildlife is concentrated along the Tarangire River, the area’s only permanent water source, attracting a variety of animals including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to 6,000 elephants. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to over 300 species of birds. Afterward, you’ll head to your lodge, located just outside the park.

Day 2:Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Serengeti National Park, embarking on a game drive in search of both large predators and the herbivores they prey on. We’ll stop for lunch at the Naabi Hill gate, located within the park. Afterward, the roof of the vehicle will be opened for a continued game drive as you make your way to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Optional:
On the way to Serengeti, you’ll pass by about four Maasai villages, where you can visit and immerse yourself in the traditional life of the Maasai people. This experience is available at an additional cost if you’re interested.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

On the third day, kick off with an early morning game drive in Serengeti. In the afternoon, we’ll journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where dinner and overnight accommodations await at Simba Campsite.

Today offers the first glimpse of the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and the focal point of the conservation area. Before reaching this geological wonder, indulge in another morning game drive in the captivating Serengeti, immersing yourself in the marvels of its diverse wildlife. It’s yet another day of adventure, providing ample opportunities to savor the beauty of the natural world.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

Today marks the descent into the Ngorongoro Caldera, saving the best for the last day of your adventure. Following breakfast with panoramic views of the crater, your 4-wheel drive vehicle will transport you 2000ft down into the crater. Covering 8300sq km, the Ngorongoro Crater stands as the world’s largest volcanic caldera and is often hailed as one of the Wonders of the World.

Its appeal lies not only in its geological splendor but also in its role as an extraordinary natural haven for some of Africa’s most significant populations of large mammals. Post-lunch, we bid farewell to the park, beginning the journey back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

In the morning, we’ll set course for Lake Manyara, embarking on a full-day game drive in this picturesque region. Renowned for its awe-inspiring panoramic vistas, cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear brooks, and thermal springs, Lake Manyara is a gem nestled between the rocks of the Great Rift Valley and the lake itself. The park’s allure is attributed to its diverse array of wildlife, spanning grasslands, forests, and water. Notably, Lake Manyara boasts a significant population of water birds, numbering over 400 species, including the elegant flamingos and majestic pelicans.

The park is also home to sizable herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, water buffalos, and the graceful impalas. As the afternoon draws to a close, we’ll journey to Arusha for your accommodation or provide drop-off at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport.
