Day 1: Zanzibar to Central Serengeti National Park

Upon your arrival at Seronera Airstrip around 11:00 a.m., our dedicated safari guide will be there to welcome you. Prepared with a picnic lunch, your guide will be ready to kick off the safari adventure. The journey will commence, with a break scheduled at approximately 1:00 p.m. for a delightful lunch. As you continue your game drive, the focus will be on spotting the majestic big cats of Serengeti and other fascinating ungulates. The day’s exploration will conclude as you drive back to Matawi Serengeti for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

You will begin your day with an early rise for a sunrise game drive across the Serengeti, providing an optimal chance to witness predators in action. As the sun ascends, casting a fiery glow over the savannah, you’ll also have the opportunity to marvel at a breathtaking Serengeti sunrise.

Following a leisurely late breakfast, it’s time to journey to Ngorongoro. The drive itself unfolds as a captivating game drive, with your driver striving to ensure you encounter the Big Five, you’ll witness the wildebeest migration, or satisfy any other wildlife desires you may have along the way.

Don’t miss the Maasai boma visit: You will explore one of the renowned Maasai bomas, where you can engage in traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even indulge in a bit of souvenir shopping at the local market.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

Following breakfast, your journey will lead you to the Ngorongoro Crater, hailed by some as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Your first glimpse of this expansive, green caldera will unfold from a panoramic viewpoint.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, housing over 120 mammal species, including the renowned Big Five, stands as a premier safari destination globally. You’ll witness the endangered black rhinoceros indulging in a solitary meal on the grass plains and observe numerous hippos relishing the cool waters. From the convenience of your open-top vehicle, capture images of some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. The crater teems with predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, alongside a substantial population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. A picnic lunch awaits you by the park’s renowned hippo pool before your return to JRO.
