Mara River Post

Where Africa Roars to Life

Tucked along the rugged northern reaches of the Serengeti, just a breath away from the iconic Mara River, Mara River Post offers an unrivaled vantage point to one of nature’s greatest spectacles. This is a place of raw drama and striking serenity—where wildebeest leap into crocodile-filled waters, predators wait in silence, and every heartbeat feels synced with the untamed rhythm of the land.

At Mara River Post, you don’t just watch the wild—you live within it.

Immersed in the Wild, Elevated in Comfort

Designed for those who crave front-row access to the action without giving up the comforts of thoughtful luxury, Mara River Post is both rugged and refined:

  • Spacious tented suites with en-suite bathrooms, elegant furnishings, and panoramic views of the savannah and distant escarpments

  • Private verandas perfect for early morning coffee, sundowners, or spotting herds in motion across the plains

  • Eco-conscious infrastructure, including solar power and sustainable water systems that respect this delicate ecosystem

  • Lounge and dining areas crafted for gathering, storytelling, and soaking in the vast silence between wildlife roars

  • An intimate camp atmosphere, with limited guest numbers to ensure a personalized, immersive experience

Whether you’re returning from a day of river drama or simply listening to the rustle of acacia leaves, your suite at Mara River Post is a sanctuary of stillness and awe.

The River. The Drama. The Dream.

Located just minutes from the Mara River, the camp offers unmatched proximity to one of the Serengeti’s most iconic events—the Great Migration’s river crossing:

  • Prime location for viewing wildebeest crossings, crocodile ambushes, and dramatic predator-prey encounters

  • Game drives led by seasoned guides who know the terrain, behavior patterns, and best photo angles

  • Incredible wildlife diversity, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, hyenas, and massive herds on the move

  • Stunning birdlife and breathtaking light, with sunrises and sunsets that transform the landscape into living canvas

  • Exclusive game viewing with fewer vehicles, giving you more time and intimacy with the moment

Every drive here has the potential to become a memory of a lifetime.

Dining at the Edge of the Wild

Meals at Mara River Post are inspired by the land, elevated by care, and served with views you’ll never forget:

  • Hearty, beautifully prepared dishes blending African and international flavors

  • Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches to keep you fueled for a full day in the field

  • Evening dinners beneath the stars, paired with wine, conversation, and the soundtrack of the Serengeti night

  • Flexible dining tailored to your game drive schedule and dietary preferences

This is food that honors adventure—simple, soulful, and always satisfying.

The Wild, at Its Most Wondrous

At Mara River Post, nature is not curated—it’s unleashed. It’s the thunder of hooves on dry earth, the hush before a kill, the ancient roar of the river itself. But it’s also the pause, the peace, the privilege of presence.

Untamed. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.

Uforgetable safari 5/5 We had been communicating on Whatsapp from my home country. They prepared various options at my request and were very responsive and kind. After arriving in Arusha, they picked us up at our hotel and left us at Kilimanjaro Airport as per our request. The safari was amazing! The lodges exceeded expectations, and the food there was also nice. The tour guide was so kind and fun, making the experience truly enjoyable. We saw all the Big Five and many other animals! It was an unforgettable experience!

Words cannot explain how amazing this experience is Lovely/amazing/once in a life time/crazy/incredible… words cannot justify the experience that we have had with this tour, a gentleman called felix is who we booked our safari with and he picked us up personally from the airport and took us to our first hotel for the night in arush he was lovely and very kid hearted and hospitable, our driver was also very nice and very educated and alert to make sure we didn’t miss out on any of the amazing animals… and we saw lots, antelope/zebras/wild beasts/lions/rhinos/elephants/giraffes just to name a few… the camp site looked amazing however we had booked tented lodges before hand and regretted it incredibly when we had seen the camp sites but non the less the tented camps were also amazing, the food was incredible both on the safari and in the lodges and it was nice to have picnics with the group, I would 10000% advise you to book with these guys as just a recommendation is not enough, I hope to be back in the near future and will be booking with these guys again :)

Amazing Day To Climbing Mountain Kilimanjaro My husband and I reserved a one-day hike to Mandara Hut on Kilimanjaro with our guide, Mr. Joel. He picked us up from the hotel at 6 am and returned us by 8 pm. Mr. Joel ensured our comfort throughout the day, attending to all our needs during the hike. We highly recommend him to anyone considering a Kilimanjaro trek.
