Experience Tanzania’s wildlife with friends, family or fellow travelers through a carefully organized group safari. At Kilipath African Safaris, we help you choose a route, accommodation and travel schedule that suit your group’s budget and interests.
Good group Tanzania safari itinerary planning begins with practical decisions: how many days you have, whether you want a shared or private vehicle, and how much time you want to spend exploring each destination.
Our four-day Northern Circuit itinerary combines Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, offering varied landscapes and wildlife experiences in one trip.
Choose Your Group Safari Style
Shared group safari
Join other travelers on a scheduled departure and share the vehicle, guide and transport costs. This option suits solo travelers, couples and small groups comfortable following a fixed itinerary.
Our shared safari vehicles carry a maximum of seven guests, with a guaranteed window seat for each traveler. An English-speaking guide accompanies the group.
Shared itineraries follow an agreed route and accommodation schedule. Requests for additional Serengeti nights, Northern Serengeti or Ndutu require a private itinerary.
Private group safari
Book a dedicated vehicle and guide for your own group. A private safari gives you more flexibility over departure times, accommodation and the pace of your journey.
It is especially useful for families, photographers and friends who want to spend longer in particular parks. Larger groups can travel in several vehicles, with activities and overnight stops coordinated.

Accommodation depends on the selected package and availability. Your final quotation will name the campsites, camps or lodges.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Meet your guide in Arusha and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Explore landscapes known for elephants, baobab trees and the Tarangire River. During the dry season, animals gather around remaining water sources, creating rewarding wildlife-viewing opportunities. Tarangire National Park
Enjoy lunch during the day before continuing your game drive and traveling to your overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Travel to Serengeti
After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Central Serengeti. This is a substantial driving day, so the itinerary should allow time for breaks and park-entry procedures.
Once inside Serengeti, begin wildlife viewing as you travel toward camp. The park supports diverse wildlife throughout the year, although the location of migratory herds changes seasonally. TANAPA
Day 3: Serengeti Game Drive and Ngorongoro Transfer
Start with a morning game drive, exploring wildlife habitats with your guide. Sightings depend on animal movements and conditions; no particular species is guaranteed.
Later, continue toward the Ngorongoro area for dinner and your overnight stay. Staying conveniently positioned for the next morning helps reduce unnecessary travel.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha
Depart early for your crater visit. Explore the crater’s varied habitats with your licensed guide before beginning the return journey to Arusha. Visitors entering the crater must be accompanied by a licensed guide. ngorongorocrater.org

- Park entry and crater charges.
- Safari vehicle and guide.

- Drinking water and camping equipment, where applicable.
- Airport transfers, flights and optional activities.
- Single-room supplements and other exclusions.
Request both the price per person and total group price to make comparisons easier.
Practical Planning Tips
Pack a small, soft travel bag, comfortable clothing, sun protection and a warm layer for the Ngorongoro highlands. Tell us about dietary requirements, allergies, children’s ages and mobility needs before booking.
For a longer Serengeti stay, request a private itinerary with additional nights. For a short trip, keep the route focused: adding too many destinations can reduce time spent viewing wildlife.
