Why Visit the Serengeti?
The Serengeti offers grasslands, woodlands and rocky outcrops that support diverse wildlife. Game drives bring opportunities to observe lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and other animals in their natural surroundings. Your guide helps interpret animal behavior while planning each drive around conditions and recent sightings.
The Great Migration is another major attraction, but its location changes with rainfall and grazing. This Central Serengeti itinerary does not automatically include northern river-crossing areas or Ndutu. Tell us if migration viewing is your priority so we can propose the appropriate route. Wildlife sightings and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
Suggested Five-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Depart Arusha after breakfast for a game drive in Tarangire. Explore landscapes known for baobab trees and elephants, with a picnic lunch during the day. Continue to your selected accommodation outside the park.
Day 2: Travel to Serengeti
Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Central Serengeti. This is a substantial travel day, with scenery along the route and an afternoon game drive as time permits. Stay at your selected Serengeti camp or lodge.
Day 3: Explore Central Serengeti
Spend the day exploring with your guide, taking a picnic lunch to extend your time in the bush. A second Serengeti night gives you more time to enjoy the park without moving accommodation.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Area
Enjoy a morning game drive before traveling toward the Ngorongoro area for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Descend into the crater for a game drive and picnic lunch, then return to Arusha. Arrange onward flights only after confirming the expected transfer timing with our team.
Package Inclusions and Price
Request a written quote covering the safari vehicle, guide, applicable park fees, accommodation, meals and drinking water. Confirm airport transfers, arrival accommodation and any domestic flights separately. International flights, visas, insurance, tips and optional activities are excluded unless specifically listed.
Your price depends on travel dates, accommodation availability, group size and route. An optional balloon safari requires advance booking and an additional charge.
