Sample Five-Day Private Safari
This suggested route combines Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, with two nights in the Serengeti.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Meet your guide in Arusha and travel to Tarangire for a game drive. Enjoy your first day exploring Tanzania’s wildlife landscapes before continuing to your overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Travel to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, continue toward the Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the route where time and conditions allow, then settle into your camp or lodge.
Day 3: Explore the Serengeti
Spend the day exploring with your guide. Your game-drive route will reflect wildlife activity, your interests and the location of your accommodation. This additional day allows you to experience the park without immediately moving to the next destination.
Day 4: Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Area
Enjoy further wildlife viewing before traveling toward Ngorongoro. Stay overnight at an accommodation selected to suit your package and the following day’s crater visit.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha
Descend into the crater for a game drive before returning to Arusha. Discuss onward flights with us before booking so your departure allows enough time for the road journey.
Choosing Your Travel Dates

If migration viewing is your priority, tell us before we prepare your itinerary. We will suggest an appropriate route and accommodation location, while allowing for the fact that rainfall and animal movements vary.
For a general wildlife safari, we can build your trip around the broader Serengeti experience rather than one specific event.
What Determines the Package Price?
Your quotation depends on several practical choices:
- Number of travelers sharing the vehicle and rooms.
- Shared or private safari arrangements.
- Total safari duration and nights in each destination.
- Camping, lodge or luxury accommodation.
- Travel dates and accommodation availability.
- Domestic flights, transfers and optional activities.
Request a quotation for your exact dates so you can compare the total cost and inclusions clearly. A shorter itinerary may cost less overall, but additional nights can provide more time for wildlife viewing between transfers.
Accommodation and Inclusions
Choose public camping for a simple outdoor experience, or select lodges and tented camps for additional comfort. Private bathroom arrangements, room configurations and accommodation names should be confirmed in your proposal.
Your quotation will also specify the vehicle, guiding, meals, drinking water, park entry arrangements and transfers included. Flights, balloon safaris, gratuities and personal expenses should be checked separately unless expressly included.
