Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Meet your guide in Arusha and depart for Tarangire. Your first game drive introduces you to a landscape of baobab trees, open grassland, and river valleys.

Tarangire is particularly well known for elephants and its baobab scenery. During the dry season, wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, creating rewarding game-viewing opportunities. TANAPA

Enjoy lunch during your park visit and continue exploring before driving to your accommodation near the park or in the Karatu area.

Day 2: Travel to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. This is a substantial travel day, with changing scenery along the way.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive

Your guide will choose the day’s route according to conditions and recent sightings. Look for grazing herds, predators, and birds while learning about the habitats around you. Wildlife encounters vary, and particular species cannot be guaranteed.

A packed lunch allows you to remain out exploring. Return to your accommodation later in the day for dinner.

Day 4: Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Area

Enjoy breakfast and a morning game drive before beginning your journey toward Ngorongoro. Departure timing depends on the location of your accommodation, travel conditions, and applicable park permits.

Continue to your selected accommodation on the crater rim or in Karatu. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the following morning’s crater visit.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha

What Is Not Included?

Unless your quotation states otherwise, exclusions generally include international flights, visas, travel insurance, gratuities, personal purchases, and optional activities.

Domestic flights, airport transfers, accommodation before or after the safari, and a Zanzibar extension can be added. Ask for these during the planning stage so you receive a clear total.

Your private itinerary can include extra Serengeti nights, a different combination of parks, or time for cultural experiences. You can also request a balloon safari, subject to availability and additional cost.

For a migration-focused trip, the route needs to match your travel period. Northern Serengeti or Ndutu requires a specifically planned private itinerary; these areas are not included in the standard shared Central Serengeti route.
